The riding has ceased, but the writing continues

I still haven’t quite come to terms with the fact people took the time to read my ramblings whilst cycling last year. I have been asked by a number of people about why the blog entries stopped appearing. The simplest explanation is that I found someone to talk to.

In early November, I was joined by my Dad , who met me in Chile to cycle the last few thousand kilometres of the journey. My evenings went from being spent writing, to chatting over dinner and the occasional beer until it was time to sleep. As a result, the blog took a back seat. However, I was still devoted to my journal and, as a result, have written records of the remainder of the trip south.

Safe, satisfied, and overly fatigued, I arrived back in Tasmania in time for Christmas. I have since been catching up with friends and, more recently, reacquainting myself with a 9-5 working life. Determined to finish writing about my travels, I have managed to establish a routine over recent weeks which has allowed me to continue with the blog.

Over the coming months, I will be publishing (infrequently) the remaining posts from my trip. This is purely for my own record. I have no expectations that people will be interested in a retrospective account of my travels. Please unsubscribe if you’d prefer not to receive emails.

As always, thank you to everyone that was following my journey. The company meant the world.

Andrew.
